Church Governance Overview

Our church, like other Unitarian Universalist churches, is governed under the congregational polity model, meaning our members make the ultimate decisions including the adoption of church bylaws, the election of the Governing Board and officers, the adoption of an annual budget, and the call of a minister. Our church is governed by a set of bylaws and policies that guide our Governing Board and its committees. Those groups, in turn, make an annual report of their activities to our congregation in May of each year. Learn more about our church leadership here.

Bylaws

The Bylaws are the rules and regulations enacted by the Church’s membership provide definition, structure and process for the Church’s operation and management.

Policies

These policies, created by the congregation, Governing Board, and committees, provide the framework for our church’s operations.
