First Church Walks for Peace

Our church was well represented with at the Mother’s Day Walk for Peace. Nancy reflected, “The Walk gives us a meaningful way to be in solidarity with our neighbors and be part of the healing from violence process. Taking over the streets for a good cause always gives me a thrill.”

Also many thanks to everyone who donated even if they weren’t able to join the walk. As of the day of the walk, we reached $3,505 of our $3,500 goal, and that was before adding in the plate collection from the May 3rd service!
We’ll look forward to participating again next year in this meaningful annual tradition.
