Our church building is on land stewarded for generations by the Massachusett people. This church’s Puritan ancestors are responsible for the theft of these lands and for cultural violence against indigenous people and people of African ancestry. This church was also financially supported by merchants profiting from slavery and slave-produced commodities. This congregation is beginning the work of repair, of reparation, for this history.

First Church is happy to announce our 2023-24 Classical Recital Series! Join us for three wonderful afternoon’s of beautiful music and refreshments. The next recital will be on Saturday, April 27, 3:00pm.

April’s Performers

The First Church in Jamaica Plain Recital Series is happy to present our final concert of the season on Saturday, April 27 at 3:00 pm. Join us for a beautiful afternoon of music and the visual arts. Renowned classical guitarist, John Muratore, will present a program of music, including works by Assad, Barrios, Brouwer, Terrega, Turina, Villa-Lobos and more! Gracing the hall will be the artwork of Boston artist, Lucy Harackiewicz, in an exclusive pop-up exhibit.
We suggest a donation of $20, but all are welcome!

Donations can be made at the door or online. All proceeds support our performers and First Church.
