We are happy to announce that our application for a grant of $500,000 under the Community Preservation Act, which is an essential component of our ability to replace the sanctuary roof, has been approved by the Boston City Council. Coming on the heels of our successful Capital Campaign, this grant approval means that we can now begin the process of soliciting bids for the work.
We owe enormous thanks to Tim Williamson for his hard work, constant commitment and steady perseverance in getting us to this point. We are a long way from the end, but we can now look forward with confident optimism to the changes which will preserve this building for our congregation, our community, and for future generations.
